Speed Report for those of you getting bombarded with news story overload.
Location:
STEPHENVILLE; Texas – United States

January 8th 2008
“In this farming community where nightfall usually brings clear, starry skies, residents are abuzz over reported sightings of what many believe is a UFO.
“People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it’s the end of times,” said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide. “It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts.”
While federal officials insist there’s a logical explanation, locals swear that it was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground , not like airplane. They also said the object’s lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane. People in several towns who reported seeing it over several weeks have offered similar descriptions of the object.
Machinist Ricky Sorrells said friends made fun of him when he told them he saw a flat, metallic object hovering about 300 feet over a pasture behind his Dublin home. But he decided to come forward after reading similar accounts in the Stephenville (Empire-Tribune.)
“You hear about big bass or big buck in the area, but this is a different deal,” Sorrells said. “It feels good to hear that other people saw something, because that means I’m not crazy.“
Sorrells said he has seen the object several times. He said he watched it through his rifle’s telescopic lens and described it as very large and without seams, nuts or bolts.

Ricky Sorrells, one of the original Texas UFO witnesses recently submitted a couple of sketches of the strange UFO he saw.

Many people reported that the UFO was chased by fighter planes. The object was also reported to be over a mile wide and one and a half miles long?

That lead photo at the top of this page… Is that an actual photo of the Stephanville, Texas UFO? I ask because it doesn’t appear to match the artist’s rendition or drawings particularly. Thought it might be an old photo from someplace else over the years to add a dramatic tone.

Hi William,
Unfortunately it’s not an actual photo of the Stephenville UFO. I couldn’t find anything that seemed good enough to use. So instead I snafu’d a picture of some of the invisible unidentified flying objects picked up by an infrared camera as they whizzed around a surveillance plane in Mexico. It is indeed there for dramatic effect and also seemed to approximate in some ways what many people saw that night in Stephenville.
Didn’t mean to mislead anyone…my apologese.

Hi dh,
Yeah. Laugh. I thought I’d recognized that lead photo from someplace.
I got a little “bummed out” because had been hoping an image like this would come out of the recent Texas sighting. Darn.
Have very much enjoyed your site since happening upon it two or three weeks ago. Thanks!
William
Hey William,
Glad you like the site. I really enjoy producing it and sharing interesting ideas over the internet. It’s gradually turning into an online magazine -lol There are some great sites out there that have inspired me.
I feel ‘bummed out’ too that there’s not a descent Stephenville photo, especially as some interesting twists and turns are emerging about this incident!
Thanks again for you comments and feed back – it’s valued!
Kind regards,
dh
Yeah. What is the moment in time beginning to look like now? Another wierd sighting being described like a light show by a resident but also the stating of physical nuts and bolts non-conventional craft. The Nation’s local military saying there were Air Force planes in the area.
I hate this topic. Still wondering about any images that may come of it. Those can tend to have a unique look to them. Have a small handful of related experiences in my past. My current way of looking at it is as a real physical event at times along with what I’ve heard Whitley Strieber describe as a mystcal/hallucinatory psychological state. Friggin’ nerve-wracking. Real however can’t be accepted scientiffically or perhaps only hasn’t happened yet.
Doubt the topic is going to go away any time soon.
William
Yeah, it’s getting freaky and wilder by the day-lol
Stops us all getting bored I guess
It’s kind of funny that when a usual military cover up gets put into operation they keep getting caught out!
Lets see what happens next!
