Now this whole Stephenville UFO story is getting interestingly weird, like a number of other ufologists are noting.
It was rather creepy and strange to read that on December 10, 2007, a Scottish evangelist recorded a prophecy on a Christian prophecy website, Elijahlist. This states, as follows,
Texas, USA–received on 11-11-07*
I see Texas ablaze and a stunning star, like the star from the east rising over the land. I hear the Spirit of the Lord saying to: “Watch for cosmic signs and wonders in Texas.” He said there will be a cosmological phenomenon that scientists cannot explain, and the media will carry as front-line news.
People will begin to ask about “the Light.” They will remember the Child in the manger; the Lord is calling His Church to tell them about the Child in the manger and the Man of the Cross. For a period of four months–from Christmas to Easter–there will be a window of opportunity for salvations, signs, healing and wonders in Texas, and this season of extraordinary favor and grace will manifest and be confirmed in unusual cosmic occurrences.
Also, Stepheville was apparently involved in the phantom airship sightings of the late 19th century. You can read about these ghost airships here. In hind sight though many people believe the airship sightings to have been hoaxes including the alleged crash at Aurora with the buried body of the alien pilot.
I like to take note of things such as prophecies and other intuitive anomalies that often emerge either prior to or after an unusual UFO event!

I had a ’sighting’ of my own the same night as the good folks in Stephenville, which led to many interviews, as I have a 30 year history of UFO investigating and sightings since the age of nine years. It was only until slander of an infraction (The London Times newspaper called me, “The Rambo of homeless U.S. Veterans”)in my life that led to many otherwise, kind people from either pulling my information, or breaking off contact with me. It seemed that my first infraction with the law disallowed me from being a positive witness.
I heard of the above, but realized that it came out ONLY after the high profile of these sightings, including my own that did make many Front Pages and Front Page on Yahoo as well.
Is there any way of proving that the website and or posting by the ‘Doomsday guy’ can be dated?
That’s all I have to ask.

Hi Jason, thats the question I want an answer too as well! So far I’ve drawn a total blank in either finding the original post or any further information. Initially I thought the ‘prophecy’ might have been made up or post dated after the event. Alternatively, once Stephenville happened the author may well have removed it for various reasons. At this point in time, your guess is as good as mine on this one.

Well, I did some searching and found it. The prophecy wasn’t posted on 11th of November, but on the 10th of December in part of other “visions” this woman had had. The whole post is called Catherine Brown:

So it looks like the prophecy was actually made last year, also posted to the site in December the 10th. But hey, you can keep giving these prophecies and after a while some of these comes close enough to actual happenings. Can’t wait to hear about the angel in Lagos, though…;)

what you all saw in Texas is not a UFO. It is a sign from Jesus.God has alot to do with this.Believe me!I have heard his voice.I have lost my faith before the rain storm came.Than after the rain storm was over I said to Jesus Thank you for saving my soul when I touch the picture. I get the strangest feeling that the so called UFO event at Stephenville will go down in the annuls of ufology as a profound incident that has triggered unparalleled spiritual energies in an ever growing number of human beings. It’s ONLY here in the western world that ’spirituality’ and ‘life’ are often seen as separate. I’m deeply interested that this event was indeed prophesied prior to the actual occurrence.
I would love to know what the good lady who had the original vision,Catherine Brown thinks of the events unfolding! Does anyone know of a way to get a message back to her?
A question for you all, if the universe is teeming with life would the world be shocked if it was discovered that not only do extraterrestrials exists but some of them were very spiritual in nature!?!

I experienced something here in New Zealand once a few years ago (for the first time). I was awake at the early hours of the morning…maybe 3 am or 4 am and I cannot explain this, nor do I know what happened. I heard a strange humming sound outside my window. I thought I sensed or saw a strange greenish light or “something”, and it seemed in a state of “hovering”, certainly I could tell it was upwards but quite low in the sky. I had sense immediately that if I had looked out, i would see a UFO. I froze and lay there unable to move or look out.
The strange thing about the sound, it was like a circular humming and then I would sense it move immediately to another spot, almost without having to make a noise or travel. I cannot explain this, but I heard it elsewhere very quickly like it was almost immediately over another area.
To this day I really do not know what it was, if there was anything, but I know I was wide awake and my mind immediately said “if you look out, you’ll see a UFO”. I WISHED I had looked!!!! But at the time, I was almost too scared or excited and was already transfixed by listening.
Again if there is a logical explanation for this, I wonder what on earth it could be? Especially at that hour…I never heard it before or since.

Well what is then that so many of us – the people living in this planet – have had experiences they can’t explain with rational thinking? I’m not talking just about UFO’s, there are also many other things that can’t be explained. How can these religional people be so sure that they have heard the voice of God (or Christ) or had revelations of things to come? What about paranormality, out-of-body experiences, fore-seeing, etc.? I’ve read once that 40% of people living in my country have actually seen something which could be described as an UFO. Adding those other unexplained experiences, religious or paranormal, the number must be close to 100%.
I’ve actually seen UFO’s twice in my life. Both were incidents that I can’t explain with my rational thinking at all. Still I’m skeptic about extraterrestials visiting our planet – If they are really out there, why do they just keep flashing their lights on us? And same thing with God – if there really is one, why can’t he just make sign so powerful that we all could read it and stop living in sin?
What I think is: The human mind is not capable of processing all the information it can obtain. We’re bound to live with our limited understanding, and when we see something we can’t understand, it’s easier to connect it with our hopes or fears – instead of processing the experience fully rationally without emotions making their own assumptions. There’s always a battle between the rational and the emotional – in some cases the one takes over the other (& vice versa).
With UFO’s over Texas, with prophecies of them and with God’s involment in these happenings, I’m just waiting for real evindence. My agnostic thinking may sound boring for some of you, but at least I’m trying to find the answers.

Thanks for your response. It helps to hear some kind of similar account, which was a bit chilling, because it confirms my experience even more.
I don’t know about you, but my body reacted to the experience almost on “auto-pilot” even before I could mentally and logically consider what was happening. The words “don’t look out, if you do you’ll see a UFO’ came immediately to my mind without me thinking about it (which is odd becaues UFOS is the last thing I’d consider, considering I was a bit of a skeptic anyway). But the words came as though there were no doubts. That I found strange. Normally if I hear something, I lie there and start trying to think what it is and logically figure it out. This was all immediate and dramatic.
There are also too many accounts and witnesses down throughout ages with perfectly normal and down to earth people (even cops) who have certainly experienced the supernatural and UFO phenomena. One cannot really ignore or so easily explain this away as mere myth or mass hallucination. And it would seem it’s becoming an increasingly common!

I have been witness to a supernatural event. Over in Croatia (“Medjugorje”). I was witness amongst thousands of people to the sun miracle.
This went on during Mass. Lasted 10 minutes or so. The first miracle I have ever been witness too. So after that I knew they most definitely do happen. Cold comfort when you’ve not witnessed it yourself I know. But when it happens? It is enough to cause you to almost pass out. My legs/knees were shaking and I could not stop weeping. People around me were seeing this and some were falling to their knees.
I was 23 years of age. Miracles are happening around the world related to God. Some hoaxes, some defy scientific explanation. Sometimes you gotta hunt these things down because they are not often declared in our secular media. We are simply not told of these things!!! Is it any wonder we feel totally deadened?
I can understand your cynicism. Surrounded by everyday life, seeing sin not only being committed widespread but even celebrated does not exactly fill one with anything else. Why does this “God” not intervene? Well I cannot explain to you the reasons why these things are allowed other than miss-use of our free will on a fallen planet and so often it’s the innocent that suffer what the guilty deserve!
I have suffered a chronic illness for 20 years of my life and often becoming disallusioned with the idea of a “God” this miracle was something that stuck with me through my darkest hours and still does! I don’t use it as a basis for my faith, but it sure gives it a boost sometimes.
There is no scientific explanation for what I experienced and in fact, those mircales go on in that place frequently and are video taped also. You can find them on youtube. They do EXIST. Sadly, they sure don’t happen over here where I live! Well if they do? I don’t see them.

We’re not told about everything, I totally agree with you on that. Most of these experiences with UFO’s or miracles etc. don’t even have an opportunity to become published, since the vitnesses rather keep their mouths shut instead of risk their reputation. This is quite a rational world we’re living in, and if you start yelling with your name and face that “I saw an alien landing on my backyard”, they are gonna think that now he/she lost it finally. So that’s why I think the Stephenville incident (taking us back to where we started…) is somewhat special. This time people are coming forward with their experiences, not just keeping it inside to themselves. And as we have seen, it really has started a buzz in the media – maybe there is something out there after all.
I believe the experiences people have had in Texas or Medjugorje are 100% real for those who have been able to vitness them. My two UFO’s were also 100% real to me. There was something going on in Stephenville, as well as in Croatia or Finland (where I’m from). But as far as the information I can gather about all of these is minimal, I can’t decide if there really have been alien spaceships flying around or God making tricks with the Sun. I don’t want to draw conclusions too hastily. I wan’t to believe, but I surely do need some more evidence.
Maybe I should check how I could get to Croatia…

Regarding the validity of the prophecy. First, after contacting Catherine Brown I did not receive an answer. Second, the Google cache of the site is dated Jan 31, 2008 11:56:36 GMT. Now this doesn’t prove it was posted after the sightings BUT:
Google usually crawls a site about once a week or more unless you tell them not to. I am suspicious about this post mainly because of the cache of the page is weeks after the event. You can see the cache here:
